Cactus crochet _ Pattern free English

This cactus is the first one I made, the pattern was only in Italian.
I decided to translate all my patterns into English

This pattern is for the round barrel cactus.

This cactus pattern can be used to create hundreds of unique cactus, you can even combine different variations in the same pot.


Difficulty: easy

Time to create : 1 - 2 hours

Materials:

* 3.5mm Crochet Hook
* 30g brown yarn
* 30g green yarn
* 10 gr yellow yarn
* 10 gr orange yarn
* Stitch marker
* Sewing Needle
* Acrylic toy stuffing
* Small Terracotta Plant Pot – 6cm x 6.8cm x 4cm

Abbreviations:

MR – Magic ring
CH – Chain
SS – Slip Stitch
SC – Single crochet
DC – Double Crochet
TR – Treble Crochet
* – Repeat from star to end
FO – Fasten off

Soil

Using brown yarn :

Round 1: MR 6

Round 2: 6 Inc (12)

Round 3: *1 SC, SC Inc (18)

Round 4: 1 SC, *SC Inc, 2 SC until last stitch, 1 SC (24)

Round 5: *3 SC, SC Inc (30)

Round 6: 2 SC, *SC Inc, 4 SC until last 2 stitches, 2 SC (36)

Note: If your pot is larger continue increasing in this way until the circumference of the soil fits just inside

Round 7- 15: SC round (36)

Cut the thread, pass the thread between the stitches of the 15th round. Stuff and close the hole by tightening the wire.

Secure the wire

Using green yarn :

CH 16

Row 1: In 2rd Loop from the hoop, SC, repeat for remaining 14 stitches, CH1 turn

Row 2: In 2rd loop from the hook, SC in the back looks only for all 15 stitches, CH 1 turn

Row 3-23) Repeat row 2

Row 24) Close the two sides, repeat row 2

FO – leave tail long

Weave the other side of the cactus as above and drawstring to close.

Pass the thread between the stitches and close the hole by tightening the wire.
Stuff il cactus

Sew to the soil.

Flowers

With yellow Yarn

Round 1: MR 6 SC

Round 2: *SC Inc (12)

Round 3: 2 CH,2 DC in the same stitch, 2 CH, in the next stitch 2 DC, 2 CH, 1 SS. – Repeat from 6 time.

FO – leave tail long

With orange Yarn

Round 1: MR 10 DC

Round 2: 3 CH, 2 TC in the same stitch, 3 CH, in the next stitch 2 TC, 3 CH, 1 SS. – Repeat from 5 time.

FO – leave tail long

Sew two flowers to the top in a circle.

Small Cactus

Using green yarn :

CH 11

Row 1: In 2rd Loop from the hoop, SC, repeat for remaining 9 stitches, CH1 turn

Row 2: In 2rd loop from the hook, SC in the back looks only for all 10 stitches, CH 1 turn

Row 3-20) Repeat row 2

Row 21) Close the two sides, repeat row 2

FO – leave tail long

Weave the other side of the cactus as above and drawstring to close.
Pass the thread between the stitches and close the hole by tightening the wire.

Stuff il cactus

Sew to the soil.
